Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

And another RIF in Belgium

In 2017, Honeywell executed a RIF in a at that time healthy company. With only 13 people targeted by RIF, another 100-something decided to leave on their own. And so the company downsized from 150-ish to 25-30-ish. Still too much for Honeywell, so 11 more people will be laid off in 2019. Reducing size to about 15. Where most jobs initially moved to Romania, that country gets skipped now and jobs move to the even cheaper India and China. Projects are being scratched or end up in court due to inability to bring them to a successful end, penalties pile up. Good game, Honeywell, you got what you bargained for, but the people deserve better.

I see 14 Honeywell job postings on linkedin listed as being in the Brussels area. Most appear to be for building solutions. About half of them have a posting date of > 30 days or more several about 3 months.

So, which business is this Belgian site aligned, and what is actually produced there? Such a small site would look on paper as a candidate to consolidate or close. Still too bad....
