Still being hounded to sell 'em! The mgmt still goes around with their clipboards every hour. Some of them probably haven't heard the news or think it's fake. Someone posted on here that the conference calls that were held yesterday or today were the same old thing, push PA's, push credit, push Shop Your Way, push water filter subscriptions, as if it were another day in paradise.

PA's have been very difficult to sell this past year because of the advanced stages of Sears' decline. A lot of people watch or read the news and every month there has been a dooming article. People tend to notice these things which is why EVERY single person who has ever worked customer service for Sears and Kmart in the past few years--salesperson, cashier, floor manager, front end service, layaway, MPU, auto center, doesn't matter--has had several customers asking "when are you closing?" or "when are they going to shut it all down?". I'm not blaming the media though. While they can and do lie at times, they have been mostly spot on about our troubles.

For awhile now we do get hit with the PA being cancelled but please do take it because the store is closing and I’ll be gone when you do cancel.

Let’s be honest, PAs are nothing but profit for Sears. Get your five “No’s” and push them as hard as you can because you make more money off them then you do on the product your selling. You can even tell the member to cancel it before the end of the 12th month after they’ve done yearly preventative maintenance and get every penny back, and won’t even hit you on your commission. Tell them all the lies we sell like how the manufacture warranty s---s and how much better ours are then the competition etc, help make yourself more money so that when the member has an issue they can call the Philippines and get completely blown off and how we won’t replace a product the member just got, that we have to have a service call that will take forever and that they have to hold on to their rotting food to get it replaced and so on!

If it's backed by a third party warranty/insurance company it might still be good.

Backed by Sears then you're just another creditor SOL.

It ain't ever easy, but last weekend (I work part-time) I sold over $1500 in PAs in 2 days. And I am not a top seller at our store by any means. Not every shopper reads the financial news or listens to cable news. People that are savvy won't be coming to buy stuff until it goes on clearance. Until that happens I still need to get paid (commission only) so I will continue to show up and push accessories, installations and PAs. I look forward to Black Friday, assuming we are still operating after next week. @VAmC1JS-xxb if you don't like it too bad, but I will still try to sell you a PA if you show up looking for appliances this weekend. Save your ethics BS for Sunday school.

No offense to you if you're HA but nobody should have purchased one for a few years now. 2016 was when I thought that it is without a doubt immoral and unethical to push these on people.
