Thread regarding Sears layoffs

This is very sad indeed - people posting in humor and in anger at each other. But the truth is that SHC will be going Bankrupt in the next day or so.....either Ch.11 or more likely Ch.7. Payroll will not be met, vendors will not be paid....and so on. We employees sitting at our desks in all of the still open buildings are diligently working - clinging to the hope that maybe we will still have jobs to come back to on Monday the 15th. I, myself, have very little faith in that occurring and doubt that we will have jobs by EOD tomorrow. Bankruptcy for Sears is going to mean Bankruptcy for many employees - through no fault of their own. Meanwhile - that vile excuse of a person Eddie Scott Lampert - is negotiating the very best deal he can for himself.....and constructing a deal that will land him Kenmore & Home Services...while all other creditors (including the employees who will be owed payroll) are screwed. Such a sad ending to a once proud company.... If Eddie was half the business-person he thinks he is...he would have down-sized Sears 10 years ago when there was a chance at survival..... Now - there will be nothing left except the profits that line his pocket.... I wish him (Eddie) nothing more than personal bankruptcy at some time in his life - that rat-weasel.
