They will be closing about 150 stores;
They are ditching home services and Kenmore appliances;
Eddie will not give any more loans, but probably forgive some debt instead;
(this one wasn't in the arcticle, but seems logical) if restructure doesn't work, then chapter 7.

So what happens to the Sears call centers? At my call center we are threatened with our jobs if we even ask what is going to happen to us.
Bruce is still involved. I don't pretend to understand it but it's something to do with him holding bonds. The commenters on the seeking alpha articles mention how it came done to Bruce agreeing to Eddie's deal or going with bankruptcy to recoup. No one there disputes Bruce's involvement. They call them Fast Eddie and Slow Bruce.
There's somewhere north of 300 Kmart locations and a little over 400 full line Sears stores left.

Stores both in Kmart and Sears were dropping like flies, so it's hard to keep track. Thought that about 300 Kmart and more than 500 Sears stores are still working. You could be right about Sears (300 surviving + 150 closing is 450, that's near enough my 500 estimate). I read nothing about Kmart in the news. Is Kmart closing just an educated guess?
All Kmarts are closed. 300 sears stores survive till Christmas. Eddie worked out a deal with Bruce. Chapter 7 before 1-31-19.
