30% reduction in admin groups

30% reduction in admin groups and some ops support functions is definitely happening. 10% will be by end of month and likely before the earnings release. I'd look for the next 20% to happen faster than previous poster stated. 2 regions and likely at least 4 SU mergers. Hard to see how these cuts can happen but buckle up its going to be a bumpy ride

Have heard Managers will be asked to give up seniority or go back to craft. Long pools shortened to lessen hotel stays. Buyout coming all before 10/25. MOPS going to terminal 4 on 3 off..... its all for the betterment of the company.

I would gladly get in on that lawsuit... severance is not required by law.. but just for the heck of it.. I’d be in!

A lot of people have lawsuits ready to go if there is no buyout offer at least equal to last year. It sounds like there is precedent for this and employees have a good case. I read this as people being in with a buyout, assuming Union Pacific makes an ethical decision for these layoffs.

I have been advised that it will be before the earnings report. Not sure how 2 regions will work. Do they care about operations? A lot of people are going to be impacted and this will trickle down. I infer will most happen in Omaha?
