Congratulations to all of you opting to leave after your great careers and years of dedication.

Circumstances dictate that I'll be here a while more and I envy (in a good way) those with the latitude to now leave and wish you all well.

Anyone want to share their plan to treat yourself, maybe a put-off trip that can now be done, or some other opportunity that you have always dreamed of but are now going to have the time and freedom to pursue.

For the time being I can live vicariously through you, and get some enjoyment hearing from others who are enjoying life to the fullest, until my own time for a break arrives.

I plan to go back to school and work toward a Certified Financial Planner certification and take my life in a new direction - you're never too old to learn, and change can be a good motivator to get people out of the ruts that they find themselves in.

I will definitely miss the exceptional people that I have had the privilege to work with over the past 12 years that I've been with Verizon, but I won't shed a tear for the company as I walk out the door.

The wife don't know holmes but soon she will... When i get my money i am buying a lowrider!!! Yeah a west coast style lowrider... Second i am going to light up a big fat joint... Third when the kids go to school i am going to bend the wife over and #$@& her brains out!!! Then tell her listen we going on a road trip this spring in a lowrider... Yeah baby troublesome 96 style!!! We going to disney orlando and i am going to eat her out and #$@# her brains out again in a burger king bathroom!!! Then off to the beach where we just going to #$@% on the sands!!!

Than you! No plans for a big splurge as I’m not in great shape retirement wise. Not bad either just not great. I plan on downsizing to a cheaper state, cheaper accommodations with smaller expenses to go with it. Walking the beach every day, maybe pick up a part time job for some bennies. I’m not running away from Verizon but running to something wonderful. Verizon was good to me and allowed me to save for retirement (didn’t start saving until I was forty), and have a few nice things in my life. I will miss my wonderful, smart, talented, and personable coworkers and supervisor. Best boss I ever had! How many employees can say that? Very few I bet.
