What's your prediction? Any takers? Is the merger going to happen within next two months?

A lot of deadwood at Wescam ... a lot of bloat.
I interviewed with L3 Harris in Torrance, CA about 2 months ago... the 2 people I met with with and the head of HR were all laid off about 2 weeks later - these were senior level people that had been with the company for years.... I guess there is absolutely no loyalty to long-term employees.... plus, now all of their historical knowledge is gone. This will most likely take them years to recover from.
CSW is done, if you're not already applying for jobs you should be.
Post merger bs is rolling out already. Already taking away any perks for staying, took raises from all CSW last year, and insurance/PTO getting worse. No sense in staying!! Competitions will pay higher wages L3Harris doesn’t seem to care
2500 to 5000 layoffs based stated cost savings of the merger about 5 to 10%
The Harris RF Comm division in Rochester has L3Harris tarps over the old corporation signs. It's a done deal. Good luck to my old co-workers.
no layoffs, thank goodness :)
The Phila. operation has been in existence for nearly 140 years. L3-Harris will be the fifth ownership/management structure in about 30 years. Somehow SPD manages to keep breathing, but they are a dinasour without long range vision that operates in fire fighting mode and relies almost exclusively on tribal knowledge.
L3 Phila Pa will probably be split-up. Some of the work will go to Anaheim on the West Coast, some will go to Westwood, not much left in Philly, which is Union plant which does not sit right with L3 Execs.
Well, holding drinks and waddling takes effort...
Is AM4 is still there?
I work for another defense contractor now, and I know for a fact that L3's Wescam MX-15,20, 25, and on and on are the BEST most popular sensors for the money. We have aircraft lined up awaiting install. That is why CSW will survive, Harris Melbourne sensor dept will shutter. DoD knows the MX series is the Best, which is why they are the first pick by the services, PERIOD!!!! We put them on King Air, DH-, 7, helos, 130's, you name it. And now we get install RFP's wanting bids from police across the country to install them.
Harris in San Antonio has a lot of temps.
CSW is going to close down, too much redundancy with Harris SATCOM in Melbourne, lower cost of labor.
Look busy, spend a lot of time walking between buildings, time card gets signed by supervisor that doesn't look at it, I have atleast 2 more years until they figure it out.
L3T's SEC Form 8K the Cube gets a $10 million payout. Yep, it is all about moving L3T forward, the employees and stockholders come first. NOT
Maybe they can sell JC and MN with the paint hanger. I mean like who wouldn’t pay top $ to get top notch management like those two!
I bet the waco paint dept and hanger will be sold.... Painting airplanes is not in the new division mandate and title.
In slc the management and workload is gone. We spend weeks standing around looking busy. The past 6months have been just busy work. Everyone is nervous
Lets hope harris sees waco has value bigger then AM4. Lets hopethey dont close us down.
I so want to see Waco 1st and 2nd level management gone at that stupid evil place. Bring in a company that can really cunduct aircraft maintenance
Let’s hope Harris sees that all management at Waco needs to be run off!
yeah!!!! good news are always welcome...
If I was a Harris stakeholder I would be worried. L3T is an albatross.

It's legit.
Most of these deals go through as announced but some do not. If it does go through, look for the inevitable streamlining and rightsizing and other thinly veiled excuses to reduce headcount.
Big Fish little fish. L3 wanted that F35 work
If you believe the article, it will be announced Monday. Then, it's a matter of shareholder approvals, etc , so it could still fall apart.
