I had three different members call the store this morning upset because they called Innovel for updates on their scheduled deliveries. Each was told that their items cannot be released from the warehouse/MDO’s right now because of the bankruptcy.
Anyone else hearing of this happening?
Commissions and draws will be eliminated by weeks end. Most sales people will go to minimum wage hourly and all sales will be final. Any money owed by sales people will be taken out of their next check.
Delivery will be sporatic on a cash and carry basis.
They are a creditor like everyone else. They are getting stiffed on payments before the filing, but will have a new deal in place for payments going forward. Looks like they will be eating the delivery fees before today.
Did we stiff the old trucking company with respect to pre-BK services for which payment was due?
This is obviously relevant to the whole company falling apart, jerk. Appliance salespeople can't keep selling if deliveries don't resume.
And what does this have to do with layoffs! GET TO WORK
Once new terms are established, then Sears will be a sought after customer to haul freight for because payments are guaranteed by the court.
Speaking of deliveries, the trucking company that delivered our warehouse freight is refusing to do business with us now, even to the stores that aren't on the chopping block. Not that the company will still be getting much else in the way of merchandise, but I'm guessing they'll either have to make a deal with the old trucking company or find a new one, and the stores remaining are going to get hit with all the freight being cleared out of the warehouses all at once?
