Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Is October 31 really the end?

Is it true that October 31 is when this whole layoffs-palooza will finally come to an end?

It will be a nightmare waiting for the next two weeks to pass, but at least there is something to look forward to if this turns out to be true. I'll take two weeks instead of indefinitely any time.

I've seen a lot of people come and go. Sometime they re-join for a few shows.

When my time come someone told me to let go.

I'm sure I've good memories thorugh.

That's life!

this is a private equity, they are not here to improve the Cie they are here to make money and sell the entity for a profit....

I don't know of any official dates (not that I would've been privy to such, anyway), but if anything it would only be the end of "phase one". There are sure to be many more rounds I'm afraid. I can't see any good reason why there wouldn't be even more cuts in Q1 and throughout 2019.

If there was a method to the madness we've seen the past two weeks maybe I'd think differently, but the truth is, any real strategic thinking/business management (for short medium OR long term) is clearly not what's at play here.
