I just turned 40 this year. Mortgage will be paid off early next year. Decided to take the package. Not sure if they will accept me, but I think applying is the best play regardless if they accept or not.
At this point I could sustain myself with just 50k a year, so leaving now prevents future headache of worrying about the job and long working hours.
Life is too short to put up with this hanging over my head.
My package is big and I'm keeping it.
Just use the buyout to pay off the mortgage. Thats what I am doing.
hahahaha , it is amazing at what lengths some will go to persuade people to leave. Young in mind.

Seems like someone has an agenda here and is pushing people to take the package. I don't want anyone to take the package based on my own opinion. You have to do what works best for you.
Good for you! Seriously! Life IS short. At your age and what you have accomplished to be in the position you are in... you will have NO problem surviving in this cruel world. Bravo!
