Ran into a conversation on another board about this, and I couldn't believe how correct this really is, if you think about it. Who pretty much invented catalogs? We did. Sears catalog was read by the entire family! Old issues still sell well on eBay. Who home delivered before anybody else? Again, we did. After Sears introduced Discover card back in the eighties, we had everything we needed to continue climbing to the top and becoming what Amazon is today. But instead of staying the course, we bought Kmart. That worked out well for us, I guess.
