Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Pray Murthy is not new CEO

He is layoff-happy and will make sure we forget the meaning of "job security" within his first year at that position. Trust me on this, we don't want him at the helm...

Murthy will not be the new CEO. Governmental pressures on BoD,. Sad part nobody want's the job. It would be better to do a reverse merger spin-off. HP did this a few years ago to certain business units. That means certain work forces are move to the entity that results from the reverse merger spin-off. Some of the work forces are left to a entity that's not part of what's results from the reverse merger So MR is moved to a Subsidiary that is made up of Intel India. That subsidiary is spun off without any IP or patents. This means the new entity that results from the reverse merger will be very different and able to make strategic decisions on products and resources. You don't meet the head of state of country your employer has been doing business in since 1974 dressed unprofessionally. MR needs a package. MR has ruined so many peoples lives, their families, careers. MR needs to be held accountable.

The guy who dresses shabbily & disrespectfully when meeting the Prime Minister of Israel. What has Intel sunk to ??? Surely it can find a competent, dignified, capable person...

My own experience seating during a meeting next to him is that I got spat on a few times. Upper management please take note of this when choosing your seat.

Meh job security went out the door with pso and his thousand points of light back in 2007. Start to worry if your flm starts talking to you about a skills matrix

Well some people call the layoffs in summer 2015 "Act 1" or "Silent Act", and that was before he joined in late 2015. Yes the main, official, big ACT was shortly after he joined but I was never really convinced he had all that much to do with it.

ACT started after Murthy joined. Some say he whispered it into BK’s ear, but I have doubts on that. I do know that this board and Qualcomm’s have consistently said that his main push is for layoffs and outsourcing. All hearsay, but the chatter is quite loud on it.

What makes Murthy layoff happy? I don't think he had much to do with ACT (which started before he joined).

I do not care if there will be layoffs. What troubles me is that he seems to have absolutely no vision or strategy on how to do things on high level. That is what being a CEO is all about.

Good. You lazy bum employees should be laid off. Those good employees will now get a higher stock price and raises.

Murthy is the new CEO. He has already planned a 25k layoff for the next 3 months. Those in the know are preparing to exit.
