Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

I heard recently CVX has moved PSG 25 to 26 and 26 to 27, is that true? Happy for those lucky people if that is true

Correct. And most of the high-performing 27s and fellows were moved up to PSG28. Not bad for a relaxing career of slow-paced, low-stress technical work.

True, sorry for those unlucky people that were left out.

True, but it was not a move for the whole population, just a select few.

Somewhat true. Following the bump up of 21-24 petrotechs last year (at the loss of their petrotech supplemental pay), grade definitions and functional roles of 25-27 were reassessed. This did lead to some out of cycle promotions (but not across the board). I did not hear of anyone getting demoted after this grade reassessment.
