I’m a supervisor of a tie gang, rumor has it on Tuesday we will be getting calls from upper management and supposedly they will be offering us a managers title. “Hard to believe” Funny thing is, they have MTP’s over the tie gangs and from what I’ve been told they will have them run the gangs just like the supervisor does thus eliminating the MTP position. With all the supposed downsizing of management that is going to take place on the 23rd why wouldn’t they just make lateral moves with the managers to the tie gang and make the supervisors go back on their rights? I guess we will see come Tuesday. Whatever the case, I’ve got plenty of people on my bump list.

So it happened, made a select few of us supervisors into managers. Promoted some and fired hundreds today. Rumors were true.
I've been with this company for 18 years, every time a manager gets criticized, or a project gets canceled here comes the rumors that there is going to be a layoff. If it comes it comes there is nothing that can be done about it. Do your job to the best of your ability and stop worrying.
