Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Thought $11 was the minimum wage?

In our club we have fresh people being hired off the streets at hire wage, and people that are working on the floor getting hired in at $12 (that totally s--- a--)..... I’ve been there 5 years and that’s what I make!!!!! I have coworkers that have been there between 2 - 4 years only making $11...... tell me how this is fair??????

Exactly I have people that have work HARD for over year maybe even 2 that still $11 yet brand new hires in same positions are starting at $13 because they have “experience”

Know exactly what you mean. I've been there close to 6 years. They hired a girl from the street to work the same job I do. She makes a dollar more an hour than me. AND I have to train her! And now a newly hired manager changes our schedule on an almost daily basis and this girl gets more hours than me. We both have open availability. It's not fair.

No $11 is the minimum. People are getting hired in at $11.00-$12.00 -$13.00 per hour part time. It all depends on what experience they have. Fair not even close. Fair that everyone gets the same raise. Work hard or do nothing it doesn't matter. Nothing is fair in this company anymore.
