Any idea which groups will be targeted?
If you are an id--t and you s--- up to your manager, you have nothing to worry about.
They are getting rid of the knowledgeable people first. The management doesn't like having anyone around that knows anything and can contradict them. Managers lack the basic understanding of how anything works and so they make the assumption in their heads, that one developer is just as good as another. Doesn't work that way.
Any DOA project you see.... someone left or was forced to leave that was needed... then the management flounders around making up excuses for themselves and blaming the people that are left. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Oracle has ED
MH fired. Mass pandomonium. Cats and dogs living together. Insanity.
In al seriousness, it’ll be another week gone by at a failing company destined to be the next HP or IBM. Oracle will be around a long, long time as a legacy vendor, but will have little to offer companies truly looking to innovate.
It’s ashame: NetSuite was a good company and good product. But just like PSFT and JDE, it’ll go down as another Oracle acquisition for short term gain and lost sight of long term vision as well as long term investment.
Expect some ridiculous huge acquisition in Q3 that makes no sense just so Oracle can show revenue gains. It’s the only play they have left.
Why Oracler hate each other? Why someone are angry about spreading rumors on the website called the layoff? What a wild company....
if you are stuck in a position working 25 hours a week, move out..
Get laid off. Get severance. Go work for an actual innovative tech company.
If not, continue working 25 hours a week doing next to nothing and spending more time with family.
Oracle is dead. Anyone who says otherwise is either a time traveler from 1982 or delusional.
Very little validity in these posts. People being let go are dead weight and need to be out. If you’re still at Oracle and concerned my suggestion is you should probably look elsewhere and can’t cut it
