Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Interesting read about outsourced work

I wonder what kind of audits against SLAs that Vz will impose on InfoSys.

This agreement may be an epic fail too.

@1jtm Is also not guaranteed employment. They RIF too. Only they call it forced resignations. If you are U.S., you'd be better looking employment on your own terms.

the Indian IT outsourcing company in question is too notorious for hiring expert techies and building team of freshers under the mentor-ship of expert and then firing the expert lebelling him costly or inefficient.

This traditional Indian familiy business group - Marwadi, guajrathis are all like this.

Recently the priem minister Modis Home state gujarat made rule that disciminates and prevents other Indian state native from working in Gujarat and so is the state of Maharashtra both are highly developed states.

There is no way Infosys can maintain SLA's. Already having very skeleton staff onshore and with more jobs being outsourced, the people who are onshore spend more time on conference calls/ chats (explaining every minute why progress was not made from all different layers of management who does not have any work other than wasting employee time) and assigning them on multiple projects not having any time to work on any of the projects will cause the trouble with managing SLA's. It will be a big failure. Moreover, with cheap mentality and cheap labor from Infosys, there will be lot of movement from onshore staff with all the stress that was put on the employees making them to leave. People stayed at Verizon for the compensation that was given even though stress was there. At Infosys, they don't have anything other than too much stress to cause health issues.

Verizon is more concerned about DACA than the American citizens that work for the company. They screwed its management employees out of their pensions and retire medical benefits and are now trying to force out older workers.
