Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Agreement Vs Non-Agreement

I think what we’re all forgetting (myself included), is that PSR will absolutely affect both sides. PSR will bring fewer trains to the network, but will be monster huge... fewer trains will equal less train crews, less crew dispatchers, less finance clerks, etc... it will eventually trickle down... so we’re all screwed... other than Lance and his garbage leadership team. All the rumors of Lance eventually wanting to get into politics... I hope for his sake it’s not in Nebraska.... I don’t know how the man will ever go out to dinner or grocery shop, etc without someone spitting in his face...

I really believe this too — Precision Railroading will eventually be the biggest source of job cuts we will see until drones and automated trucks are common. UP will be making millions more in profit because of the high value traffic that remains with the greatly reduced staff.

Not saying that... just saying at some point we’ll all be out of jobs.. and people will hold it against him.. right or wrong... This will work for the company at some point, as it has for CSX and CP, and the customers will be angry then come back... and you’ll have a workforce looking over it’s shoulder for the rest of their careers.. However long or short that may be. Personally, I think he’s a dung beetle... not a leader..

So being efficient would be a bad thing?
