VES to be sold?

Does anyone believe that VES will not be sold after the dust settles?

Agreed ildw there really is nothing to sell it is largely a remnant with no real assets that can operate as a stand alone business.

VES has no real assets other than their customer list and any employees that would be purchased along with the cuatomer liat. The network used is not a VES asset. its a shared network owned by the N&T org. Also, there are no VES only facilities as most of those teams share space with VCM or VZW and all the others are with vendors in the Philippines, India, or the Czech Republic.

They may try to sell VES, but what are they really selling?

I don't think so. I think they will merge VES and VBM again {and possibly other outlier wireline groups} in the next re-org after the VSP.

I mean it just makes sense, VBM and VES up front and back end processes and systems are exactly the same.

It all goes back to greed, this is a global multi-billion $$ company, but they run it like there is no profit margin....

I think they will try.

Not sure they can find a buyer, that will pay what they want.

No one can ever know for sure. But, this buyout certainly makes VES much more attractive to buyers. Same revenue levels, but the acquiring company doesn’t have to buy near as many employees or assets. So they get the revenue, and only half the costs. And, because of the slimmed down workforce, Verizon can ask more for VES because of how tight it is compared to the revenue stream. Again, who knows honestly, but it sure seems to be where it’s headed.
