Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Lance

Lance is the worse CEO, the company now gets an extra free billion a year from the tax cuts. The stock price has almost doubled since the split a few years ago. The company is making money hand over fist. He decides the company isn't lean enough and lays a bunch of people off. All so he can hit that G55 goal then retire with that golden parachute. Meanwhile hard working rail roaders are out on the street. FU Lance.

Lance has single-handedly destroyed this company. Jim Young was able to take this company to new heights, even during one of the worst recessions in US history. Jim never had to resort to this. He inspired people to be innovative and grow the company. He also was a long term visionary that could see past the next quarterly earnings release. He was able to form a cohesive leadership team that were all on the same page, and worked to move the company forward.

Lance is none of this. I really feel for all the employees that Lance has turned his back on. Very sad.

No doubt about it. His leadership pails in comparison to the likes of BNSF and some other rails. Very Sad for all involved. Hopefully he'll rot in hell and endure terrible terrible abuse there.

I saw him today at HQ laughing and joking around, just walked out of the building like it was the best day ever. Nice work Lance, glad your so happy living in your million dollar glass house, prick!

Very true, Lance only cares about himself, the stockholders and all the millions they are stuffing in their already fat pockets. He's the absolute worst for UP and I feel sorry for all employees... the employees are the ones who make this railroad work but unfortunately Lance doesn't see that or care. He's running it into the ground. Three layoffs in the extremely short time he's been CEO is absolutely pathetic. He's a terrible leader making terrible decisions and is absolutely heartless about the employees working their butts off only to be betrayed again by him. Very sad. Very, very sad.

It was them or him. He has always chose himself! And will continue!

Lance had an opportunity to continue to take the company in the direction started by Jim Young and than Jack. Instead he's taking it back to the dark days of D--k Davidson and Ike Evans. He will have one of the worst legacies ever. If you can't create something great, you cut people. So sad.
