Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

The 10 billion figure is real

On November 5-6 there will be a meeting with 230+- of our fearless leader executives at the Ridge. Was told that 6700 +- already checked yes, thats not nearly enough for what they are after. The 10 billion figure is real, and further more, 3-4 billion of those savings are going to come from this so called volunteering option and future riffs, which is mostly to go after those with 15 years or more. They are going to meet that 10 billion number regardless of how much OT you performed, how much you think the company can't live without you, they will. Then for the poor soles left behind after so much talent has walked out the door, you will be expected to handle the load. Once the ship stabilizes, and it may, they will then change things again. Betting the farm on 5G is a big risk, not to say it can;t happen, but Verizon could not even finish up delivering FIOS because of all the BS red tape that has been instituted.

Bumped from @VI7Cfj8-2byz for info.

Real is Fake and Fake is Real, Why some even bother to post questions like this on here makes one wonder. Nobody here on a layoff can answer this.... (laughing)

It’s amazing to me that the fact you can post anonymously gives the people the desire to spew hatred. There will be winners and losers in this VSP.

Wux, it seems you have learned nothing beyond 1st grade. Go work in a wireless reseller where you can be more useful and tell T-Mobile customers they can come to VZW and pay 99% more for the same service.

Ahh, you both fail. Actually 6,700 / 44,000 = 0.152 x 100 = 15.2%.

@wux, wow impressive that you can do 6th grade math

15% is indeed a bad take rate if the target is 30%

Do not know the real take rate.

Any who says they do, is lying.

Next, Many people I know, are waiting till the last day to make a decision.

Rate could change

6.7k / 44k = 15%

Not a bad take rate.
