Some departments are choosing to lay-off their employees tomorrow. Another sleepless night for these workers. Prayers to all.

Two more phases of layoffs. 6 months from now and a year from now. I you made the cut this time, you have two more just ahead.

This round of layoffs brings to mind of a book I read! The title was "Weathering the storm" The book was actually really good reading! It detailed the life of a man and his family during hard times! The reason for the title was because of a quote made by the author! The quote goes as follows!
"Weathering the storm has difficulties not easily seen! Weathering the storm requires you to stay focused, but how long can you endure such hardship before you succumb to it!"
Now what's interesting about that is who's experiencing the "storm"? Mr. Fritz is not doing the company any favors! He needs to go NOW! This company is in a death spiral, and about to crash! Mr. Fritz has forgotten about the people that got the company where it was when he took the reigns! He also refuses to see what he does to people's lives when he makes decisions like this! Some peoples live are just completely ruined! Marriages are destroyed, Houses and cars repossessed, s---c-de rate goes up, and harmful intentions increase! So I say again, who's weathering the storm? The corporate a-holes in Omaha need to wake up RIGHT NOW! They need to realize that the cuts they make are in the interests of the shareholders, and nothing more!
Hey Omaha! Are you aware that we know that already, or you just that naive and ignorant to think differently! You've ruined people's lives, or do you even care! If it affects your pay or your bonuses, then the answer is REAL obvious! These cuts and the ones before were simply of out profitable interests! It was never about costs! The UP was #1, but lost the title to the BNSF! Ever wonder why? Your PSR(precision scheduled railroading)plan is going to fail! What's the standings of the CN, CP, or the CSX? Yes their profits are up, but at what costs? The UP is at number 2, but very closely followed by the NS! The unions have even said that the PSR plan is a job killer! I simply dont expect ANYONE in Omaha to give one damn bit! The UP isn't about "Building America" anymore! I'm really starting to wonder if it ever was! It's always been about profits to execs and shareholders since dear Mr. Young left! The Union Pacific is creating their own storm! Use your imagination on the type of storm your creating! There's a saying about the horse and the buggy! The horse in this case are the people you are letting go, and the buggy is the company! When you have no horses, the buggy will go nowhere! It's best to have many horses pulling the buggy, instead of no horses and a buggy just sitting there looking stupid! The other way of seeing that is putting the buggy before the horse! You choose how you want to see it! So instead of making this any longer, go ahead and look out your windows! There's a storm cloud over the company! Weathering the storm will affect both sides of this situation! The real question is who will weather it better?

MR. FRITZ, IT TIME FOR YOU TO GO NOW! Anyone that wants to side with him, then I guess your a close friend of his! YOU NEED TO GO AS WELL! The UP was once #1, and now it's just a burned out shell of what it used to be! Once the NS takes over the #2 spot, then how safe do you think your job is then? For the rest of the corporate pukes in the glass palace, same question?

(HDC)supposedly, CMS and operations layoffs will be tomorrow. Signal operations, Deisgn, and support staff were today among various others at headquarter building.
Definitely not trying to start rumors. Just sharing news I heard. It wasn’t said straight forward that they would do it tomorrow but that is what the concensus in that department is.
Lance the douche that he is, is savy. If he fired 500 people he has to report that to the city/state, 60 days ahead of the layoff or face big fines. They kept it under that number and will do the same thing for 2 f---ng years. So I doubt any layoffs happen tomorrow.
Sorry but that doesn't even remotely sound like anything that has taken place. No one, not one department announced or would announce... "Layoffs tomorrow". They blindsided everyone this morning at 8AM. Another bs rumor. Fortunately.
Layoffs and the reorganizations are supposed continue until close of business Thursday. Friday we should know the finally outcome.
I have a friend that works there. Their department said they would be waiting till tomorrow for the layoffs.
What departments??? And that's this based on? Thought this c-ap was over until 2019.
