(HDC)supposedly, CMS and operations layoffs will be tomorrow. Signal operations, Deisgn, and support staff were today among various others at headquarter building.
Not that I don't believe we'll be having more layoffs in the future, but is there any confirmation that this is true? I thought we were done yesterday for the week.
Engineering design was gutted. Not much thought on who stays and goes. In some cases only a few individuals performed or managed the design of certain major projects. All were let go except their supervisor who's new to the position. All the experience is gone. This will set the company back years at facilities that are already beyond their capacity to complete the design. Its one thing to improve traffic between A&B but if you can't get out or in a facility because it has capacity what good is your plan to streamline traffic. We'll see what happens.
Maybe less than 500 cuts but, many demotions and laterals. As well as relocations . Options of take a demotion or a severance. More to come.
