Onboarding Readiness Activities?

Our management group is in the process of mapping out skills that people in various roles should have as well as on-boarding plans. My assumption is that they plan on hiring newbies to back fill any group that had too many people volunteer. My take is that means they are going to let anyone who chooses to take the package go, perhaps with later release dates.

Any other teams seeing the same thing?

yes on paper it will take time but that's really not what is going to happen. Unless you are a team of developers that has been totally gutted and your organization has mostly opted for the VSP, they are just going to backfill with new blood and have the rest of the team bring them up to speed.

Our Sr Director just sent an email asking everyone to document what they do and knowledge on how to do it. And place in a g-drive folder. Lol,
