Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

When will it continue?

I'm not naive enough to believe that this calm in layoffs means we are actually done with them. I do wonder if we have any indicators on when we can expect more?

I'm hoping we are safe at least until after the holidays, but I wouldn't be surprised if we had another round prior to that.

What do we know on timing so far?

T&A - TRTA - Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting.

Isn’t there a different page for Refinitiv news/rumors now?

Are the layoffs in Marketing for Thomson Reuters or Refinitiv. Also, what is T&A development? Any news on Refinitiv in Eagan, MN?

I understand marketing have been told 80% of the 800 will be cut, not sure if that number is just USA or worldwide.

Also expecting about 10% cuts to T&A development staff in USA, it will be just before thanksgiving.

It will all need to be finished by December 1 if we want to book all the severance charges this year. My guess is that a lay-off announcement will be made before earnings call on Nov 6.

I’m hearing major impact to marketing still and potentially 1,000 layoffs out of Eagan. If you look at the total severance charge versus the 2016 layoffs, it looks like the total number will be somewhere around 3,000 for TR only.
