Number too small

Anybody else feels like the official number of laid off people we were given (under 500 people) is way too small for what actually happened?

I might be wrong, but it seems to me that number should be significantly higher than that.

I just don't know what the point would be of hiding the truth in this case...

The earlier you exit from a sinking ship the better off you are. Don't wait any longer, otherwise you'll always look back and regret it!!

Does anyone really believe any number they give?? I sure don't! If you live in fear for your job now, then you should probably leave now! The UP is going down! Do yourselves a favor and save yourselves! The UP is going to be another modern Titanic story! Except Fritz is the sh---grinning iceberg!

Signal operations, laid off 100% of all they are done for this year and next.

The other areas did it in smaller percents so next year there will be more for those areas.

"only 250" When the driving force behind it is GREED, One is too many. That 250 number effects more than a thousand people without a doubt. Please lets not minimize the impact here ('only'). Evil Greed is behind this 100%.

There were only around 270 on Tuesday so there will be ~205 before the end of the year. The official number is 475 per the UPOnline article.

This round truly was less than 500 people being fired. It does sound like there will be more to come in the next few weeks/months though. I’ve heard this will be the new norm every 6 months or so through 2020
