Just curious... how many of you are taking the severance and leaving?

So can anyway explain the new position? Who does the claims ? I’m a claims supervisor at Walmart and I can’t wrap my brain around how this is going to work ?
After 25 1/2 years I'm done. I can't take it any more. My decision was made last year when the rumor started. We paid off all of our bills and started stocking up on things . I'm not one bit sorry about saying adios , I'm tired and beaten down. Severance and a little relaxation for a year or so.
After 30 years I've had it. Other people I work with over 25 years are staying. I can't do it anymore. I will finish up my career elsewhere. I actually felt a sense of relief sad but true.
Someone should take this to the News ... how Walmart is illiminating all these jobs to make there profit ... not by sales and being soooo secretly about it
22 1/2 years I’m done!!
Im taking the severance. Im not going to take another position in the club, and then have them telling me to go clean up claims, for less money. Im also not going to take a position in another club or a Walmart for 2 reasons. I might hate it, or they might hate me and find petty excuses to keep writing me up until I am let go. Then I get nothing.
For anyone taking the severence. Keep in mind it will be taxed greatly. Spoke to my accountant today. Some tips to save some of your money. Move more money into your 401 and raise your dependents that you claim. We are already getting screwed and losing our jobs. Why should the government take our money as well. Good luck to you all.
I have no idea about my club yet, but I would imagine that at least 2 of the 3 at my club will take the severance
They want young blood, out with the old farts. They figured these people are never leaving, so let's push them out into an early retirement. What goes around comes around!!
Going to skip out the door and drive over to Costco and get me a card . I will never look back or step another foot in the door of a Sams Club
After 25 years my mind was made up before they even called me into the office. If they don't have an ounce of respect for the long term ones let them have those useless young ones running around trying to find somewhere to get out of work.
They don't even try to help the members. I used to care but they have killed that inside me.
I have only been with the company for a little over 10 years. I’m going to try for position due to some circumstances but I will probably be looking for a new job.
Leaving after 26 years. The only other time they will offer a severance package will be the PT position or if they close your club doors. The sad part is the company does not care the knowledge is leaving the company. They sent the 3 year Groc/AP manager back to me on Weds to learn what I do. She did not know what MQUN or ITPO was. They are screwed.
Leaving it was a hard decision to make after more then 23 years but once you make the decision it's a weight lifted and I'm looking forward to a holiday for the first time in years.
21 yrs just applied for my alumni card. Sad I love this company, managers come and go they may not be the best and you train them over the years so why not train my replacement. If they don't retain its on them the knowledge of good associate the time they trained us over the years pass it on then move on. Truely will you be happy. And just think after your serverance runs out reapply if you want at close to what you make now
And the company can boast big profits again to its shareholders because of all the $ they'll save from us.
31 years, taking it.
Leaving after 30 years...time to move on.
35 years gone
35 years gone
After 30 years I'm considering leaving. We cant even get an idea on the schedule. I think I may be done.
Not sure. But I guess that I've only got 13 days to figure it out. After 10+ years I'm supposed to figure out what to do without time or information.
I will be leaving after 25+years!
My guess would be 95% of them.
