Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

What is the point of this?

Engineering design was gutted. Not much thought on who stays and goes. In some cases only a few individuals performed or managed the design of certain major projects. All were let go except their supervisor who's new to the position. All the experience is gone. This will set the company back years at facilities that are already beyond their capacity to complete the design. Its one thing to improve traffic between A&B but if you can't get out or in a facility because it has capacity what good is your plan to streamline traffic. We'll see what happens.

This is one of my main issues. These layoffs are supposed to help the company, yet everything I'm seeing being done will do the opposite of help. What is the point of it all?

Worse than facing the Nebraska voters...he'll be judged by his Creator some day. I bet he won't be smiling for very long during that sobering encounter. We all have that ultimate Judge to face.

The REALLY sad part is that it's going to get WAY worse! NO ONE has seen anything yet! I was there when the CP first did it! It's a grand sh--show in the making!

While pondering what I wanted to write, I have two schools of thought. First my heart felt prayers and thoughts for the hundreds of employees that are now out of jobs. But this wasn't the beginning, and the layoffs will continue. Since Lance Fritz took over as CEO, there have been three layoffs in four years, along with countless furloughs for agreement employees. Here is what I will say.....If you have a loved one looking for a job with U.P. tell them to RUN away, not walk. While losing my job from the U.P. the last round, and my wife losing hers on Tuesday, we have actually found relief from the stress that this company has induced for the last four years. The low life, scum s---ing, puke bags that make up the upper echelon of this company is astounding. But don't worry, Lance Fritz has aspirations of running for a political post in Nebraska. While it doesn't surprise me, it certainly says volumes about that piece of sh--. Run a company into the ground, then run for politics. I hope that the id--t does run in Nebraska so he has to answer questions about how he has screwed hundreds if not thousands of employees he and his band of dip sh--s have ruined. I hope they are proud of themselves. Watching Fritz run the company is like watching a monkey f--- a football. Pathetic.
