There arer rumors that UP is moving headquarters after PSR is fully implemented. I can't see them doing this?!?! But what are they going to do with the big HQ building when there's hardly anyone left in it after reductions.
I would think there would be a small percentage of people that would follow the company, only those in upper management maybe and executives.
Why wouldnt they relocate. Upc is going to be half empty by next year. They have said repeatedly over the years its almost impossible to recruit someone to live in omaha. Sweet tax deal is up in 2024. Theyve burned every bridge with anyone in the local community, and proven to be a volitile, brutal, and nonsensical employer. They are already putting selma up for sale, im sure the bloodthirsty investors would love lease income, or the sale cash. Texas is out there bagging any big corp they can with promise of tax breaks. Wall street will make them do it. And, above all, they will be closer to the heart of the network

Omaha s---s. The city, the people, no culture (unless you consider the c-appy NU football team a culture). If you aren’t from here then you aren’t a part of the Omaha In crowd. I hope we move our HQ - I would follow the company anywhere but here in a heartbeat. Otherwise the day I leave UP is the day I leave this God for saken city.
