Figures don't lie, but liars figure. I am still saving $10 a month switching to AT&T over the current retirees plan at VZ...and I have coverage now too...heck of a deal!

Vz would be doing good if it didn't have so much debt. Way too much, that's what the package & cost cutting is about.

Good news for Wall Street, often doesn't equal good news for the company. Wall Street wants money, if a company lays off a big chunk of their future for short-term gain, Wall Street is happy.

Well, you have to read the SEC filing to understand that the company is not doing so well and has some serious problems. FiOS is performing poorly , and the video side is a complete loser, margin wise . Enterprise and wholesale continues to decline, that is really played down. If it were to grow, it would probably reduce margins, as it is a loser too. Wireless did great, but not because of service revenue, it’s all about the consumers forking over full retail price for expensive devices. And, Oath is just a complete declining revenue stream. Not a surprise they have to get so many employees off the payroll, replacing them with lower paid diversity candidates.
