Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Great quarter for Sam's club

Sam's is forever boasting about how well the company is doing. Well, I guess so, they are targeting the long term associates and eliminating their positions. They try to turn it around and make themselves look good. Do these people at HO really think they are fooling everyone? Who's position is next? Maybe it should be Management, they are uneducated and unproffessional. Really sad company.

Did all of yall forget that all associates are even except fresh associates of course. They are the only thing holding the clubs together. They probably get 10% raises instead of 2%. Everyone other than a fresh associate is even as far as the company is concerned and thats why no matter how bad you s--- and there are a bunch who really suc*k and are worthless but they will get the same c-appy raise as everyone else

If it was my company I should keep the long term people as long as I could. Give incentives to stay. I'm a long time associate and I can do about anything in there. So when they get in a binned they ask me and other long term folks to help. These new lower paid associates don't want to do the job let alone any thing else. Most of them are LAZY!!! But this company will continue to do as they see fit and hopefully learn by the mistakes before it's to late.

If it were my company, I would be smart enough to realize that the key positions and I knowledge that comes with these positions are huge to the success of the company. HO is just not that bright......they are greedy. Giesel is running the company into the ground. She is really does not have what it takes, she is to busy trying to act important.

If it were my company, I would be intelligent enough to know that these long term employees got the company to were it is. THEY HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE to run key departments. In with the new.....SERIOUSLY .......the people coming in couldn't give a c-ap about doing things correctly. They need to close all clubs and be done with it.

If it were your company you would do the same out with the higher wage in with the lower. Remember it's just business it's not personal move on.

@vpw20xq you are correct. They are trying to make it look good. Claims and receiving at our Club were all over 20 year associates. So was accounting, and audit team. It's called age discrimination also. Seems as though we only hire young people. They cut payroll by sending us home early or asking people to take off. Then it looks like the budget is being met.
