Thinning the ranks of mechanical and the people that maintain the infrastructure, really good idea when there is a shortage of crafts nation wide..... The good side is, UP may be downsizing, that's a plus for the others in the market that have a need. I for one wouldn't look back if I was given a pink slip. So if the UP wants to gamble on the agreement..... Let them, the railroad holds a very small market, let alone the job isnt much compared to the area. The railroad used to be a great job, now it's just... Eh!
