Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

SMH

I see many here using words like HOPE, MAYBE, PERHAPS. I suggest you watch the movie Wall Street because that is what is going to happen to Xerox. Has ANYONE heard Giovanni mention anything about the production of toner and/or any other consumable? I know I haven't and do not expect to hear anything about the biggest money making area of our company. The future can only hold one truth. That truth is FujiFilm and Xerox need to merge. If that doesn't happen then we are doomed. Period. Listen to me now and remember me later. Xerox makes 2 machines that require toner and consumables that Xerox makes. All other toner made goes to FX designed and manufactured machines under close scrutiny of FujiXerox. The next great production machine is Iridesse. FX designed and manufactured. As Iridesse grows in popularity Xerox's flagship declines.

Unless Giovanni and his "team" in the C-Suite can come forward with some new clean sheet builds for Xerox to do right here in Webster NY and a strategy to get there from here we will never be viable again. At least not without the help of or merger with FujiFilm. His webcasts do nothing more than blow smoke up everyone's a--.

Frankly, if Giovanni had any balls and he really wanted to turn this company around he would do some surprise walk throughs in areas of Webster and fire every employee caught with their feet up, surfing the internet, or not in a lab doing work to make the company better. I read posts on here where people brag about doing nothing all day. You would not work with me or for me. You would be in the unemployment line. Fortunately for you that is above my pay grade.

Why am I such a bad person to work around? Because I would fire the lazy a-- people I see posting here? There can be no other reason. If that's your argument then I feel sorry for anyone that ever has to work with you and them.

From a technology perspective you are not telling me anything I don't already know. We will not transform into anything other than another company not called Xerox.

OP sounds like a wonderfuly bad person to work with/for/around. If toner is the future of Xerox, then it better be some nano-tech, magical sh--. Our competitors are already applying "nano" btw.

So it's not a "printing technology powerhouse" that we are supposed to metamorphosize in to, in order to have any hope at a long term future..

We are supposed to pivot in to 3D, DTO, AI, and make it easier for CEOs to breeze through European front lobby security.

Now that I read that back to myself, it sounds absolutely ludacris.

And now I empathise with OP more and yes the most plausible buyer is FujiFilm. Remember they were axing 10,000 jobs out of FX before the merger. How many of our jobs in Webster would become a great opportunity for cost reductions?
