Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

When do you start accruing PTO at Walmart?

A store employee here, have a quick q - when do I start accruing PTO? I hear 90 days but I also heard180 days. Thanks.

@VSTeucZ-vkl So what if they want time off already. We all do. Nobody goes into a job thinking, "screw vacation, I never want a break, work me 24/7/365"

A truck driver here, I accrued my PTO on my first day! Enough PTO to take as many road trips as I wanted!...At least until the clutch went out on it ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

For the LOVE OF PETE go read it on the wire. This is such a waste of time! Can you not do anything for yourself? Go read PTO on WIRE

90 days-----assuming they don't jack with your schedule and run you consistently below the hours needed to qualify for that benefit (they'll lie and twist policy language around to justify moves like that, and you'll never get em to stand still and tell the truth). Find a better job now. That company is terrible.

Run!!! They will probably just steal your PTO anyway like they did our accrued sick hours a couple years ago. Should of been a class action lawsuit, how it's legal to take away accrued and promised sick hours is beyond me. Another fine example of Walmart's "ethics" lol
