With the changes in insurance coming, does anyone have suggestions for other healthcare options in 2019 for current employees? Someone posted earlier about GoodRx as a pr-scrip-ion resource and I appreciated that. Would love to hear any ideas or experiences with other insurance/RX alternatives. Thanks in advance.

@rgg That's false info per healthcare.gov site: "If you’re offered health coverage by your employer, you can buy insurance through the Marketplace instead. But you may not qualify for a premium tax credit and other savings based on your income."
@1kse We definitely hit our family deductible, unfortunately, but appreciate the idea!
@bbc your numbers are correct
Consider paying out-of-pocket with providers, rather than having the provider bill to insurance. Providers' out-of-pocket prices are generally lower than the (marked up) cost that gets billed to insurance (and then subsequently passed onto the consumer, if the annual deductible hasn't yet been satisfied). If you don't expect to reach your annual deductible, you will actually save money with this approach.
It should also be noted you are not eligible for a healthcare plan from the government healthcare exchange if you are offered a plan by your employer.
I quickly priced out a single policy through the healthcare exchange (the gov site) and with my income, a single policy was $320. That was the cheapest plan. I currently pay $150/mo through Global/Xerox.
