I was an FSA for 3 years and with no warning, no offer previously to transfer into another position they just let me go. I have witnessed them doing away with the LP and HR, they got notice that their positions would be eliminated, thus giving them opportunities to transition into other positions. Why isnt everyone treated fairly?? Lowe's does not care about all their employees which are the ones that make this business run on a day to day basis. The CEO is going to run this business in the ground like he has in the past with other companies. My advice to all employees that work for Lowe's, find an employer who actually cares and appreciates you, because this company does not and never will! I will never spend my money here again and will encourage others not to as well!
How do you function as a company when you walk your employees out the door with no notice.
With the hiring freeze that just ended we have a large number of unfilled positions. I too question why we could not accommodate the associates just let go. This proves all we suspected when Lowe’s eliminated the HR positions in the stores, which left no advocate/resource. Lowe’s brags about all the seasonal part time jobs they add with no comment about all the real full time / regular part time jobs they continue to slash. Marvin, all this time Lowe’s has drawn those who don’t Shop HD because they don’t like the way they operate. Keep up the great work guys!!!
FSA is facility service associate the maintenance people for the building and grounds, janitorial, and anything else they throw at you.

I got sh– canned today too. I'm an amputee and it's especially difficult to find decent employment. The other FSA got fisted today as well. They should at least slide us into diff. Spots.
My store discounts multiple times more than I get paid. What was the reason behind this atrocity?

Part time fsa here, they let go the full time fsa, our assembly and myself. We got one of those packages but we have to wait like everyone else to be hired again, since we weren’t allowed to transfer departments which kinda s—s since I did receiving and paint as an fsa. Thanks marvin

I was an FSA for 16 years could count on one hand how many days I missed of work Now just this morning I get my walking papers and a handshake. It seems that they're wanting to out Source everything. Their next step is to start closing stores! If you're all smart you'll sell your stocks and get as far as away from Lowe as you can!!

Merchandising Service Supervisors just changed in Knoxville-to Chattanooga area. A friend of mine in that position in Knoxville just said they don't manage employees anymore. They just go from store to store auditing the resets. Even the interviews are done by the MSM. Sounds like they are fading them out doesn't it?
I predict more department manager reassignments. Everybody knows that it's difficult to find good employees in this better economy. Part time workers are being abused at Lowes. Department managers are fixing the work schedules for their departments so that full time employees have fixed hours according to their preference–open, close, midday, and the part timers are being assigned rotating k–ler shift hours of varying length, sometimes four hours, sometimes eight hours–whatever is leftover and what the full timers don't want. Now supposedly, corporate assigns the work schedules according to need based on last year's sales on that day and the schedule isn't supposed to be changed. Really! Part timers are getting fed up in our store and are leaving for better jobs. Again, store manager has a blind eye to this procedure. Rotate the full timers and give the part timers fixed hours so they can have a life. It's not worth it otherwise!
The recently promoted department managers who are stupid enough to spend their time hanging around the front customer service leaning on the wall for hours at a time bs-ing with the cashiers need to go and are obviously not needed. We need hard workers in our store: more loaders, down stockers, stockers, those willing to sweep the department, clean up, zone, help customers. Goofing off managers are annoying to everyone else and hurtful to the cause. It's amazing that the store manager allows this! The department manager routine isn't working again, due to the tendency for most to stand around, goof off, and let everyone else work. The few managers who are working directly side-by-side with their assigned employees, answering the call bells in other departments, getting dirty, sweating, with the rest of us should be commended.

Anyone know any managers getting screwed over in this process. They take all the c-ap from corporate and the staff then get fired for the store looking a mess with no help since everyone is leaving during a hiring freeze. Makes no sense.

Merchandising Service Supervisors are next to go. They are trying to get the In store merchandising employees to work off an app. It will all be coordinated from the MSM. Be prepared, writing is on the wall. Corporate communications don't even mention MSS in them. Its obvious they are bypassing them. After MSS hire up and train new employees they will terminate them.

Word on the street is that they did away with lowes delivery in Charleston sc CDT and went with third party. Is this something that will go company wide?
I see these posts on the various Lowes programs unfortunately not all PSI's did badly there were those that made the store they were in a lot of money. Basically , in every industry you have those that never follow protocol and all pay. Best wishes to those that stay and or move on.
All non essentials will be gone. Lots of M-F people and schedules. Those only cost the company money. They want sales and RTM/Pricing is a waste of payroll. Just squeeze more out of others. The Receiving clerk could do RTM. The department supervisors could designate the price for each department. It's easy..
what about rtm and receiving clerk positions?
Has anyone heard that Lowe’s may be fazing out the RTM position? One of our vendors told me he heard that.
Customer's are the number one priority! Great company and I have been blessed beyond my wildest dreams. Lowe's has been very good to me. My question or concern, why would all management be scheduled on Monday? They should be evenly spaced to make sure we are taking care of customer's and to support our employees. My understanding for this schedule is due to a 30 min broadcast and a 30 minute meeting. In the days of webcasts, internet, etc., is this the best use of staffing? God bless you!
Lowes needs to get rid of the morning meeting ( a waste of time). 20 employees standing around doingmg nothing for 30 mins. and then they go on break or bathroom break. How does Lowes account for the loss of time?
