Do you predict that there will be General Motors Layoffs in 2019?

Hiring has always been geared to the college level entry candidates. Management, in addition, has always encouraged the senior employees to help educate these future replacements. Well, that time is now.
In essence, the employee buyout offers and subsequent layoffs of others is a resounding response to your topic, OP. GM executive mgmt has alot to explain to it's employees. And yeah, how about firing some of the people in charge who put the company in this position? Surely, it's no fault of the lower level workers who now suffer the brunt of it. Many people's careers and lives will be ruined, but hopefully they can bounce back at a competitor.
BoD needs to fire phony Mary Barra. How can GM have the need to lose more than a third of their employees? Overhiring? Poor products? Missed markets? This announcement will certainly cause turmoil among the employees. Lots of backstabbing. Return of ageism. Many older employees will suddenly go from "prized possession status" to "no longer needed".
Well, yeah
