I received half my pay today also. It doesn't help when he sits on your paperwork and doesn't turn it in until after the payroll cut off date. Because I had it in on time.

Reminder: to receive your SUB payment and other benefits, you need to inform TMS of your continued eligibility for state unemployment compensation within 5 calendar days of receiving EACH SUB payment.

It seems pretty harsh since it says in bold that the failure to update your eligibility will terminate your SUB Plan payment, medical and other benefits.

For those of us getting direct deposit, I recommend setting an alert to verify the deposit.

I guess I was lucky. I got about 70 percent of my paycheck. My paperwork didn't get there on time either. I would have spent the 20 bucks to send it express mail if I knew. I left a message in HR today and they didn't return my call. He answered all my questions.

You are right, I did not submit my paperwork in time. I was in shock for a while, I couldn’t even look at the paperwork. I felt like someone punched me in the face. Non of this was explained.

Oh boy. Sounds like you were kicked to the curb and then they kick you again for not returning the paper work in a timely fashion. Ouch! What's next?

If you did not submit your paperwork ontime, you only got half. I wish that was explained to me at that time, but of course when you are only given 5 minutes and booted out the door(?) Add it to the list.

How can you get half a check? You should still be getting your salary as part of SUB and it should not have social security or state taxes taken out

I also didnt get a pay stub yet.....

Still dont see how they can cut jobs then rehire. Makes zero sense

Agree w the post below - clean out your desks now because u will be escorted out like a common criminal. I havent been able to access my 401k since i was let go. Lord only knows if i will get my first sub payment tomorrow. And if you try to call HR you wont get a live person

Nowadays, it seems, the flavor in 2019 is targeting those employees who work from home on a consistent basis and are getting laid off. No longer a desired place to work.

Recommendation for those who have not gotten let go yet. It doesn't matter if you are below or meets expectations, both groups are treated like cattle and without dignity. You will be escorted out of the building with only the possessions you brought into the office and not be able to say goodbye to the co-workers you have spent the last 10, 15 or 20 years with.

The recommendation is get copies of your old performance reviews, your pay stub (if you have electronic deposit, you will want to know the automatic deductions), any account or number that is associated with your work e-mail since everything will be shutdown immediately. It would be even better if you change all phone numbers and emails to be those that aren't related to work since trying to recover passwords or accounts will be problematic to settle up any medical or financial matters. The only access you will have is through mybenefits.bnymellon.com or the generic number which neither is much help.

God Bless and Best Wishes

Another wave will occur in February. Possibly Finance.

What departments that are being targeted for layoffs in February to June? Does anyone know?

Intermission time...Charlie and Monique gotta keep folks guessing. It's all part of the game strategy.

Actually by doing the layoffs in small spurts, it serves a purpose by keeping boards such as this quiet and stops those still in the office from having fears they are to be next by thinking the layoffs are complete and getting them back to focusing on work.

When you cut the bottom decile en masse, it's inevitable that some people were more critical than anticipated, and you need to backfill their positions. Ideally you get them back. If not, life goes on. If anyone is a single point of failure, that's a failure of management. No one should be irreplaceable.

Doens't make much sense does it? Think it would be cheaper to re-org first, then let people go, rather than the other way around..

Thats what i dont get

How can they let u go then rehire especially after u sign all that paperwork

I am from india ,here we are also insecure not sure how many people are going to cut. Current head count is chennai + pune = 14000, after layoff we might be very less. Us ppl 1month sal = 1 sr manager 1 year salary here. We are more insecure than us team members. It is not true that we are doing us resources work.

when I came back, if it was less than a year you kept your service date and they couldn't pay you less for the same job grade, not sure if that's still the case.

So they basically dump your salary and hire u back for less? They bridge your service date??

Still think the cloent service center 6th floor needs looked at

Tons of workers there w over thirty yrs in just begging to be laid off. Have big pensions and 401s. Why doesnt hr target them? These are the same folks out the door by 4 having paper fights and snowball fights w IT

@VTGDW1p-1lxqu - I came back. Unfortunately, I came back for a job I wasn't suited for, (almost didn't take it, but was more concerned about being unemployed) - couldn't get any decent training from the offshore folks running the app, so I moved laterally into a position less "techy" but still carrying my 20 year IT experience and salary.

Grew bored chasing people around for their paperwork, and I wasn't being challenged by my manager to do anything else, so I was overpaid and underused. BE'ed and out the door.

Layoffs will continue non stop .Good idea for ex managers of 3 or less associates to update their resumes. You could be in line as well .

I got the boot on Wednesday, I was with asset management technology and wealth management (the worst managers I have ever worked, I doubt if they are even human), it's bad when they have to escort you out , after working 12 hour days and worked on the weekends. I was treated badly and threatened to be fired if I don't work on weekends and after hours. Favoritism is rampant. Was told they will cut contractors first but in reality they came directly for full timers. I hope this is blessing in disguise. I'm taking a vacation and make them pay. Bad managers, lot of "my people" syndrome. You can only servive if you're a b*tch to manager.politics is the name of the game.

Heard Charlie wants to let go close to 20k people. Be careful and find another gig fast.I am glad I'm out, feel very sorry for everyone who have to suffer this 💔. Wish you all the best and better days are ahead.

Charlie changed the company's address from 101 Barclay to 240 Greenwich.... Wow, what a brilliant idea by Charlie the Tuna!

Shoveling people from comfortable working conditions to "collaborate" aka stuffed as sardines (I guess it's related to a tuna habitat!) working conditions, where the germs, sounds and odors spread faster than the speed of light is another great idea of the genius CEO, so too is cutting people with knowledge, experience and loyalty and replacing them with his cronies from prior work places and college graduates. Similarly, moving jobs overseas is so noble and brilliant that I can't even offer any additional comment.

What a great way to use corporate tax cuts that Trump gave them to improve our US economy.

Wishing Charlie the Tuna many more such successes for our once great and proud company.

The sad thing is that everything here is pretty much true about BNY Mellon. Sr. Management put us in this position. They have been selling real estate to bump up capital. The systems as 20 years behind the times - actually they were more advanced at Mellon. We either lose our base or they die - Tried to buy into silicon valley and failed. Everything is held together by string and tape (that we bring from home). And yes it is really that bad.
