Same management style and similar corporate accounting. Honeywell is spinning off businesses now and GE was doing this about 3 to 4 years ago. What do you think?

Their biggest customer -- Boeing -- is now turning into a formidable competitor. Boeing is pushing forward with Avionics. Boeing has a joint venture with a French outfit to develop APUs. Vertical integration or Boeing just sick of dealing with HON? Either way, the writing is on the wall.
IBM best product in past 5 years is stock buybacks. Other than that, what do they do. It's a ponzsi scheme at it's core, they don't work long term. But who cares long term anymore and noone goes to jail
Corp spent $5 billion buying back its own stock during 2016 while we teh Workers had layoffs, furoughs, and pay freezes. But the Baloney man still got his stock bonuse. I recall that GE and Sears were doing stock buybacks in the not too distant past.
Don't forget about the rank and yank review process Honeywell adopted from GE. People are our greatest resource.
WS is ruining / running Hon. WS has been running GE for years but quit earlier this year to focus on other companies like Hon.
GE was the highest market cap stock on any stock exchange in 2000. It takes time to go from that to where it is today. HON won't just plummet to 10 in 6 months but it is obvious they have given up on parts, products and customers and focus more on charts, words, spin offs, selling assets, eliminating employees - taking cash out not putting cash in.

Not just similar .. the architects of Honeywell were ex GE executives. Plan executed well.
