Actually, “the poster” is saying that it’s misused. Also, “the poster” suggested people goggle it. So I did. Head down. Keep working mindlessly on ‘Caid, smart a&@. Not everyone is as old as you and know about this Jim Jones dude.

We know what “kool aid” means. It’s way over used on this site and it sounds dumb af. I think that’s what the poster meant to say.

“Drinking the Kool-Aid" is an expression commonly used in the United States that refers to a person who believes in a possibly doomed or dangerous idea because of perceived potential high rewards. The phrase often carries a negative connotation. It can also be used ironically or humorously to refer to accepting an idea or changing a preference due to popularity, peer pressure, or persuasion. In recent years it has evolved further to mean extreme dedication to a cause or purpose, so extreme that one would "Drink the Kool-Aid" and die for the cause.[citation needed]

The phrase derives from the November 1978 Jonestown deaths[1] in which over 900 members of the Peoples Temple died by drinking a powdered drink mix laced with c--nide. Most voluntarily committed s---c-de while the rest were killed by forced ingestion of the poison.[2] The powdered drink mix used might not have been Kool-Aid but could have been the competing brand Flavor Aid. However this is disputed as the commune had both among their supplies. [3]

I can’t belive I worked at Molina with the kind of dip s#%t comments I read here. If people haven’t figured out what the references to Kook-Aid mean....and haven’t looked it up (if they are too young to know who Jim Jones was) they are dumb as a box of rocks.

Thinking Molina is recovering from some tough times is a joke.

Read the memo, people. The gig is up. No one cares about the friends and family program. No one cares who does a good job or not. Give up the ghost and get the heck out of there already!

No wonder I never look at this page. What a bunch of creeps. Reading these posts is like an awful walk down memory lane. Yikes.

Sipping the Kool-Aid:

To blindly follow and support a cause, sports team, religion or in this case Molina Healthcare. Going along with an idea simply because of what fellow peers do. Not thinking for oneself.

I see this reference to "drinking Koolaid" so often and I wonder if the people using it even know what they are referening? In the case of the previous poster for instance (I don't think you could drink it for too long). If you are unsure, Google Jim Jones.

Layoffs are sure to happen 2019. All of IT will be outsourced by the end of the year. So the majority of IT will be laid off. The outsourcing of IT and the sale of pathways seem to point to a sale of the company. The company is nice and lean and much easier to buy.
