Do you predict that there will be Nike Layoffs in 2019?

Yes, they will fire a bunch of people this year. Digital and technology are merging and many employees will loose their jobs. Not just people that are not performing well. It will be announced in the beginning of June like in 2017 when the new fisco year starts.
Yes. That’s the way Nike cleans house. They get rid of poor performers or managers who are perceived not to be the future. Soon after the lay offs they will start to re hire. Unfortunately many who should be laid off will stay because of connections. Nike is fat with VPs and directors or senior Directors. They will bring in new enthusiastic people who will be paid less. Just look at Nikes recruiting adds. After a few years the person learns they sacrafised and worked their A off and received a 3% merit increase or they keep applying for positions and lose out to someone else. There are 30 others just like them competing for the same positions so they soon leave the company. Nike got what they wanted from them so bye bye.
