DIRK VAN DE PUT: “… in the U.S. we are taking shares, largely in the biscuits category. We have what we call a DSD system which allows us to go directly to the stores, so we’re in contact every day with many, many stores across the U.S., and that gives us a competitive advantage and that allows us to -- to execute better in those stores…”

The company has continuously communicated its intention to remain DSD. Those intentions have not changed.

Walmart and Kroger CAO is not the stores taking over order writing. In the majority of cases, Kroger stores do not even know that a transition occurred.

Employee morale is so low. Micro management of time is unreasonable. Management that promotes life/work balance should work in the field for a week. Also, safety 1st is challenged when we are under strict time restraints. Please help!

So so so obvious! Funny that people keep saying nothing has changed! Our two largest retail accounts in the country have gone cao, Kroger rolls it out nationally this year! Jimmy is when we are told. We continue to lose space in most resets, almost all our snack crackers are now one facing and come packed 6 to eliminate back stock. The area trainers and DDS positions have been eliminated. You’re right, nothing has changed, business as usual!🤨 Might be wise for those to rethink things!

Anyone who doesn’t see dsd is ending really doesn’t want to face reality.

So painfully obvious!

MDLZ is currently eliminating key DSD positions throughout the country. Kraft is anti union and when they owned Nabisco, union drivers went on strike and Kraft brought in scab drivers and forced management to work the trucks and warehouses until they achieved what they wanted. This had never happened before in the history of Nabisco. Kraft also tried to deliver warehouse items on Nabisco trucks and this did not work either as they could not figure out how to properly compensate the sales teams. The Nabisco product line has shrunk considerably and for DSD to be impactful at retail, they need good people in the stores, not part timers or merchandisers. Today, orders can be automatically generated for each individual store based on sales history. A valuable asset to a MDLZ takeover is that Coke or Pepsi can buy the Nabisco DSD items and deliver them while the rest of the line of goods can be incorporated into Kraft/Heinz with brokers doing the selling at HQ. The impact of selling Nabisco C&C's to C stores (convenience) by a Pepsi/Coke/Frito driver would be a huge spike in volume.

No layoffs in Q1 confirmed. Rally meetings are set for the end of February. Town hall call will be a waste of time. Don't bother. I'm not a cheerleader either. Just telling it like it is. If DSD is ending this year it will be sometime between July to September. If not we're here till 2020. That's when I can confirm that it's ending. I was in my store merchandising and upper management lady from Deerfield said that DSD is ending in 2020.

DDS and area trainer positions are being let go in February. That's the only layoffs I've confirmed. I'll let you know if more happen.

Your really disillusioned if you think “we aren’t going away from dsd cause we’re too big”! You’ll be saying that in the unemployment line I guess! The Eli inaction of the dds role is very telling! No longer need to schedule merchandisers. Tell you something? Whose gonna be doing the

Merchandising? Stores!! We will retain some reps who will assist with CAO for a short time, but everyone else will be unemployed who works on the retail side! Duh!

Only senior management knows a timeline, but no doubt they know! My best guess is we will see changes occur early in 2019. No way when our two largest retailers in the country are CAO they are not going to reduce/eliminate jobs! Every consumer goods company that has gone CAO has worked towards this goal, picking off one company at a time. Frito and Coke will come, but after us!

So funny to hear management try to explain the “partnership” between Kroger and Mondelez, and the whole CAO movement. Anyone who doesn’t see the writing on the wall must be blind! DSD is ending!

Retailers are being a little more cautious taking back business, they had a little learning curve with Keebler. Retailers plan was always to exit dsd but Keebler decided to separate earlier to save overhead. Take an advantage by being the industry leader.

Wait and see! WM was cao for some time with Keebler before they exited dsd. Sure changed with them. Just curious, what would be the purpose of CAO in your eyes! You are sadly very misguided. Go ask your DM....hahahaha! When they kick you to the curb, then maybe you will get it! Until then I would think twice about what you believe.

Post ID: @4siv+VTpdbBt

Yes there is but Kroger and Walmart are the 2 biggest grocers in the US! Both going CAO! Not good for DSD. DSD is having the power to sell and merchandise. CAO takes that away. DSD is dead! Quit trying to convince yourself!! Game over!!!

Good luck trying to spin this information Nabisco cheerleader!! DSD is dead!! CAO in Kroger and by 2019 all Kroger stores CAO! Better hit send!! Upper management is just trying to get you to the finish line!! Unethical is what Nabisco is doing to us!

Kroger is going cao. That announcement was made to us, conference call Tuesday as we are the pilot for cao. Larger stores in our division have been cao since July. All stores in Cincinnati/Dayton are going cao November. Kroger will completely go cao 2019, that fact was stated.

Wake up and smell the roses! CAO is being implemented to end dsd! Every other piece of dsd is easy to transition.
