Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

JohnV and crew are not Xeroids

JohnV and team aren't even trying to pretend to be part of Xerox. I only see them as Hatchet Men/ Women. Their loyalty goes to whoever pays their wages and bonuses. It's Cozza, and thus Icahn. Icahn is not in the game to build a "technology powerhouse".

That is a joke of a rallying cry by JohnV to attract, cheaper labor millenials to warm vacated seats and to fool the Street.

From the inside, I see the moves they are making and the company is DEAD. They have damaged the employee pool and neglected morale beyond recovery.

When they make cuts, middle managers protect their own jobs over the company's best people who do real work and struggle to keep the boat afloat. Short term you get yor quarterly numbers, the it all goes KABooM.

I'm still here and it is a protracted soul death.

Both previous comments are spot on. None of the high skilled tech population is willing to accept a job offer with Xerox these days. Too risky when their are other options. Only those delegates getting handouts (shush, incentives) from Icahn are coming into the company. That is not a plan to build a Tech Powerhouse.

Looking in from the outside at Xerox; there are bright spots and those employees should self organize; as a united force, demand recognition from Icahn robots ( sorry, they think they are leaders) for delivery of necessary tech to keep the company as an attractive buyer for a potential buyer.

Nobody should have the delusion that Xerox is going to be a tech powerhouse. With the cut in benefits, no young talent in their right mind would come start at Xerox. Young and mid-career people already working at Xerox should get out on their own terms early, and older people need to consider if they can ride the falling elevator to the ground floor without getting killed.

I could not in good conscience recommend Xerox to a friend of family member.

With the comp and benefits offered by Xerox in the US and Canada right now tied to the current labor market, Icahn and company will not be able to attract the AI and other high-tech talent that Xerox needs to transform and be revitalized. This is all about cutting cost to maximize the profit once what is left of Xerox is sold. The leadership team knows this why a lot of senior leaders who are not being compensated by Icahn & co. for selling the company have left or will soon leave.
