Sears does not make their own products....Other companies manufacture the product for Sears and Sears buys the product from them.
The 1st 3 numbers of the model number are the source code. Like 253. For frigidaire/Electrolux or 795. For LG. For some reason people often think serial numbers and model numbers are synonymous, but they're not.
The first three numbers of the serial number are the source number . Only thing Sears is the decal or nameplate . Been that way for decades
