1:1 for layoff

What if I have a regular 1:1 with my manager on Monday? Could that be re-used for the layoff-talk or would I get an extra 1:1?

I have a weekly 1:1 10:30 Monday’s. Mgr asked Friday if could move to 9:30 cuz he has mtg with Dir later in morning. I am expecting the news, and my mgr is a bad liar.

What time are such 1:1 or 1:M meetings? Or is there no on average timing?

Yeah it would go like this:

1st 1:1 Manager will ask you “Did you do your Team Space and V2MOM?” (So he/she doesn’t get dinged). “OK, Thanks!”

2nd 1:1 “Your job’s been eliminated.”

Aside from this not being a magic eight ball space.

Your 1:1 is set up by your manager (or you) and if I was your manager I wouldn’t make 2 1:1 interactions.. what would that even mean or what conversations would you have on the 1st one vs the 2nd?

There are no rules...
