The stalking horse is HIMSELF. As far as Service.com, they are a suite in a office building in Farmington Hills Michigan. Appears to have been around since 2015. Their twitter is a bunch of videos and GIF's and the link from their BBB logo leads me to a 500 error. Make of this what you will
. It doesn't inspire confidence in me, but I am very skeptical about things. LOL. Maybe HIMSELF owns it, who knows?
I expect the motion to be denied. Have you ever been at an auction where you were the only bidder to arrive? Although the stated melting ice theory may not be totally without merit; how is it the asset would lose significant value over just a few days without SHLD having been aware of the issue prior to bankruptcy; or having not been aware that it was in financial peril at least 6 months prior to filing. They cannot claim to have melting ice issues solely due to their own incompetence to declare bankruptcy at a more appropriate crossroads.
The stalking horse must have competitors that should be notified of the auction date and provided time to perform due diligence. No disclosures are made of the stalking horse's CEO and Board and any potential conflicts; (not only with SHLD; but also with the court; other debtors; their lawyers; and financial advisers). Parties; including the US Trustee must e provided time to make objections.
In the end expect the auction to go forward; possibly with the stalking horse as the sole bidder; and at an expedited date. ...but not a date proposed solely by SHLD and their advisiors without due process.
no other parties are interested that’s been the rumor for years not going to change now. financials are even worse and all the good people have already left us. riding it out and hoping for the best

They likely just want the business to give their existing contractor partners. They won’t need any people for that.
Its a cloud based company are they planning to send all sears ship customers to the moon?
Does anyone know anything about Service.Com? For an internet company they seem to keep a low internet profile. Any speculation as to what their plans for SHIP might be?
Service.com is buying SHIP for 60 million. Hopefully they come in and fire upper the incompetent upper management group
