What is this November 15 HR announcement people are talking about? Are we talking layoffs or something else?

Like DC said the DDS and area trainer positions will be eliminated in February. Put 2 and 2 together. DSD ending will be shortly after
DSD is not how we make our money. Did you ever read the quarterly statements through those foggy lenses? Here in the U.S.A. sales and revenues have been flat or in decline for years. All the growth has been in places like China, India, South America, ect. Emerging markets. We can't force people to buy junk food. In fact the trend here has been away from unhealthy eating. Our competition offers sale prices we can't come close to. Don't know if or when DSD will end but every thing I've seen lately and comments from customers point's in the direction of an exit.
Well you may want to get your eyes checked then, may need a new pr-scrip-ion. A whole lot of activity going on which all point to the end of dsd. Who cars about how much we make, did you notice that none of the retailers we service have a sign outside that reads “Mondelez”. It’s how much money they make. Business 101. And guess what? They will make way more without us! As for the time line....I’ll just say soon and only senior management knows at this point, well of course the retailers know

DC, what your posting may indeed be what your being told. Problem is that the info your being told is info only info they are spoon feeding you. Since we know management has a long history of, for lack of better terms, “lying”, you really know nothing. Today all jobs may be safe, but tomorrow....? See about three years back the RVP told a crowded room of reps in the region all jobs were safe. The precisly was the reason for the meeting, then a few months later the company let go 1/3 of the reps. In Jan the company came up with the “one team one dream” campaign and again reps were told jobs were safe. See a pattern here DC? Management doesn’t want to let us know what is going in, there will be a “I don’t care attitude” when the announcement is made. This is not what they want to lead us into the holidays. Appreciate you sharing what you know, but again, really you know nothing! As I posted earlier, all you need to do is open your eyes. The tell tale signs of our departure from dsd are all around! If this isn’t enough, Kroger 5 year forecast, five years ago, was to eliminate dsd. They are just about right in track, new warehouse, CAO rolling out currently and will be fully implemented by 2019 across all company. Not sure who you represent in your postings but be careful, people need to be realistic about their future with employment, families to feed!

Look, I recognize the landscape of retail and DSD is changing dramatically. I’m not going to pretend that I know anymore than what I posted, who knows.. DSD for Mondelez could come to an end 6 months from now .. or 6 years from now. I have no idea. All I know are the facts. As of right now, I was told people within the market, in the stores, are okay. Could change. But please.. to all the silly accusations that I’m fake news or feeding everyone false hope,, that is not only dead wrong,, but it’s an assumption and we all know what that means.
I’m here to inform. I’ll give you guys facts and nothing more. You can interpret the future of this company for yourselves. I hope everyone is having a great year.

Hey DC, you’re filling these folks with huge sense of false security....unless that conference call was with a major retail chain. They if course are calling the shots here. If you just barely scratch the surface it’s so obvious dsd is coming to an end. Every red flag is out there, skus coming pack six not twelve, CAO, retailers building huge warehouses for dsd, and on and on. DC, retail is the beginning phases of an evolution and dsd is a dinosaur retailers can not afford. Almost makes me think you are one of the “one team one dream” guys? Here to make us feel our jobs are safe so management can get through till the end without the wheels falling off! Won’t work. Anyone with even half a brain can see where dad is headed! Nice try!

But they’re re hiring 29 back with newly created positions.
So no Major changes that I know of.

I just jumped off a conference call.
Here’s what I know and have been told:
Area training managers are going away
DDS positions are going away
And the Boss’s of DDS’s are going away
They are creating a new position called Sales Initiatives Manager... which is a hybrid of RMS, DDS and DM..
It’s a step above RMS but a step below DM.
No sales rep, full timers, DMs, RMS, RDRs or vacation Reps are being let go...
All of this is 100% accurate

If DSD is staying why would we eliminate the DDS positions? Isn't their primary role to plan routing for deliveries? What all does their position entail?
Not sure who posted below about DDS..but it’s true. The DDS position is being eliminated. I will second that. Not sure if anything further is happening beyond those positions...
It’s a town hall meeting and it’s not important. There is no conference call.
Anyone know what time the conference call is next Thursday the 15th? Is it for everyone or just specific departments?

It's just about the split between us and Canadian teams. Nothing of importance just like his first town hall the other day. DSD is not going away anytime soon....maybe a few more years. We are only cap at Walmart in my region and no mention of any other store so far.
