Really nervous about today, as evident by the hour at which I'm posting. Sleep was not on the menu for me.
Are there any chances the major layoffs many people predicted for today will turn out to be false? I keep hoping that'll happen, but the history is telling me otherwise.
Anybody in the know can share something with us?
Try to stay positive those that are impacted... I went through this back in 2016, but because of my network and keeping skills relevant, I was back 3 months to the day after my last day. Did a year in the job I was hired into and now in a better position. Essentially ended up having a 3 month paid vacation. Also have heard many finding success at other companies... stay persistent and run straight at the problem to get through.
Confirmed. Today is the day that many lives will be turned upside down by Cisco's actions. It's not the end of the world but the beginning of something better. I've got my package the rest of my life to find something better. It won't be hard.

I got my invite last evening and my package this morning. So today is the day for the US.
My mgr was online all night last night (on IM), usually he logs off at end of day. Have not received the 1:1 yet, so guessing am safe.
who stays up at 3am to send invites?
must be a HR tool like a cron job to run tasks at programmed times. strike early am, strike hard.
I got my 1:1 invitation at 3am. I'll be relieved to leave Cisco. It's a toxic environment with a lot of fake people. Been waiting for this many years.
