Amazon lowered their sales forecast for the holiday quarter. Perhaps they heard Sears was going to have a big holiday sale. Amazon stock stock is down to $1608.71, while Sears stock rose a penny on the news to settle at .20 cents per share.

Sears' impact on Amazon is like the impact of a yard sale to Walmart. Not even a blip on the radar.
SHC simply can not and won’t compete. Points system is pointless, people don’t want a math lesson in order to shop and they don’t want to wait to save.
The key work is competitors. Unfortunately Sears has become an after thought in retail.
In this article about Amazon's tactics to be more competitive for the Christmas season, it also discusses the tactics of all of Amazon's competitors.
It's quite amusing that in the discussion of all of Amazon's competitors, the word "Sears" does not appear. Even once.
