I am an OM and the new program is working for my store. They have been talking 3rd party for years. I am not convinced they are going 3rd party, but if they are just be prepared by getting your license
In response to the doctor rent comment. That’s because they will be eliminating cash office positions. Rent will still be paid to Sams optical they just have to pay it online instead of requiring a cash office person to process it.
Yesterday I read the letter for the independent doctors. They will no longer be dealing with Sam's Club for their rent. They will be required to set up with an outside source for payment. !!??!!
It already went 3rd party earlier this year. This guy sold HO a load of c-ap how he could get frames from China & they would bypass customs etc. Did you not know they shut down all the labs for the US for WalMart/Sams? Anyway dude already split & is with another company now. Now they have all these frames in customs that they can’t get. So now they are scrambling. Optical mgr told me. They wanted to appeal to the younger ppl. Be all hipster & c-ap.
Or the terrible blackberry phones that were used for the field membership teams years ago that literally didn’t work out of the box. I’’m curious how long the “belt”’program will last in fresh depts, will it go the way of I’m a leader, leadership 2.0 and all the other programs that have landed in the trashbin of Sam’s club history.
Nothing they come up with works. All the equipment, everything is all to hell. They need to test these things out before they pass the mess on to us to use. So embarrassing.
What about the stupid scanners at the front doors never went live what about the club pickup phones that they used maybe 6 months and then sent back how about the club pickup printers that dont even work
I actually forgot about that dumb thing they did with them scanners in receiving. That was a huge $$ loss.
You mean like the time the company spent 10's of thousands of dollars in every club for the upright scanners to be installed at each and every door in receiving. You know the ones that never went operational. Is that what you mean by "the company wouldn't invest in something they would only get rid of"? LMAO
@1gke you must not know about HO. They're id--ts. They will just ship your stuff back or auction it off.
Must just be bad for your club. Almost every day for the last couple of weeks we have been getting the new frame lines our board is completely full, we also just got brand new iPads. Why would home office be putting money in if they were just going to sell out to third party? Makes absolutely no sense at all to do that. They wouldn’t be investing in something they were getting rid of.
